How we're different
Remember when...
– You could see your doctor when you needed to
– A real person answered the phone—and knew your name
– You were greeted by a familiar face
– Appointments lasted longer than 15 rushed minutes
– You had help navigating healthcare costs and finding discounts
– Your doctor had time to advocate for you and coordinate your care
– You didn’t need to take half a day off work for a visit with your PCP
– Waiting rooms weren’t crowded and sterile
At Magnolia Direct Family Care, we’re bringing that experience back—with modern conveniences like texting, email, phone access, and intuitive telehealth. By limiting our patient panel, we ensure personalized, high-quality, physician-led care for every member.

What is direct primary care?
Dr Cook's Approach to Care
Hello!
I decided to open Magnolia Direct Family Care in 2021 after 20 years of practicing in the insurance driven medical system. I saw firsthand the negative impact of fragmented, delayed care, not to mention hidden costs. I also knew I wanted to spend more time with patients and practice in an authentic way that was more intuitive and connected.
I take a "whole person" approach to primary care and truly enjoy getting to know my patients. I also believe in a collaborative approach to care, as no one knows what you're experiencing better than you. I believe what you say and acknowledge that we each experience the world differently. I will advocate for you.
My extensive training as a physician allows me to take a thoughtful approach to medical care. I love taking a list of seemingly unrelated symptoms and putting together a diagnosis and treatment plan, especially when it doesn't involve medications or unnecessary testing. So much can be accomplished with education and empowerment!
